Spinal Mobilization Therapy is a manual manipulation of restricted joint movement primarily within the vertebral column. Joint mobilization techniques enhance the healing process by stretching and breaking the adhesions formed between the fibers of the scar's developing matrix within the spinal joints. Ultimately it restores normal motion, relaxes tight muscles, improves coordination, and inhibits pain.
Physical Therapy Modalities
Physical Therapy Modalities any physical therapy agent applied to produce therapeutic changes to biological tissue including, but not limited to; thermal, acoustic, light, mechanical or electrical energy.
Myofascial Release/Nimmo Techniques eliminates pain, re-educates muscles into pain free habits and assists in making spinal manipulations less forceful as it reduces muscle guarding. This treatment method allows the neuromuscular pain and stiffness to reduce, increase ROM and improve flexibility and coordination when used in conjunction with spinal manipulation.
Manipulation Under Anesthesia is spinal manipulation and myofascial procedures performed while the patient is under general anesthesia. This procedure is used in the hospital setting for patients whose condition is unresponsive or has reached a plateua to other forms of treatment. The procedure is used to alter adhesions and correct joint dysfunction caused by chronic connective tissue scarring and or repetitive trauma causing pain. It is designed to restore lost range of motion to the spine and extremities, reduce scar tissue, break up fibrotic adhesions, and increase flexibilty of surrounding musculature.
Functional Medicine is the correlation of lifestyle, symptoms, and blood and other diagnostic analysis to determine the causes of your symptoms to better modify your health nutritionally to make you function optimally. Whatever we may be observed is conveyed to your primary care physician or specialist.
Conservative Physical Therapy is concerned with identifying and maximizing movement potential, within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation at very precise acupuncture points.
